Attorney McNamara has practiced law for the last 25 years in New London, Connecticut, focusing her practice on estate planning, wills and trusts, probate, elder law including Medicaid, commercial transactions including the sale of businesses and all real estate matters including closings for residential and commercial properties. She also advises small and large businesses on the myriad of issues surrounding liquor licensing including applications for same.

Education
Attorney McNamara is a graduate of the Honors Program of Boston College where she received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and was a member of the Economics Honor Society (Omicron Delta Epsilon). In 1988, she graduated from the College of Law of Syracuse University (J.D., 1988).

Professional Memberships/Associations
She is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association, New London County Bar Association, American Bar Association, the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), and Estate and Tax Planning Council of Eastern Connecticut. She has written and lectured extensively on such topics as Estate Planning, Wills and Trusts, and Medicaid (Title XIX) for such organizations as the Chamber of Commerce of Southeastern Connecticut, National Business Institute, Lorman, the Connecticut Trial Lawyers Association’s “People’s Law School”, the Senior Resources Agency on Aging, Alzheimer’s Association, Just for Seniors Magazine and many other local and state organizations.

Attorney McNamara remains committed to her community as a commissioner and present Vice Chair of the Town of Waterford Senior Services Commission since 1997, a trustee of the Waterford Public Library, a member of the Women & Girls Fund Committee of the Community Foundation of Southeastern Connecticut, a Connecticut Community Care, Inc. Corporator Class of 2013, a member of the Development Committee of Fairview Odd Fellows Nursing Home, and a former member and Co-Chair of the Steering Committee of LEAVE A LEGACY® of Southeastern Connecticut.

She resides with her husband, Lt. Commander Joseph A. Baldi, USN ret. in Waterford, Connecticut. She enjoys spending her “free” time with her husband, and her hobbies, including horse equitation- dressage with her horse and exercising.
